Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as a working student to support the Structuring & Valuation team in Business Area Markets.

Key responsibilities and duties

Further development of Monte-Carlo framework
Implementation of Brownian Bridge approach and construction of more general bridges for Ornstein Uhlenbeck process with non-normal distribution
Pricing of structured products
Being involved in and improve operational processes

Your profile

• You are studying mathematics, engineering sciences, physics, economics, computer science or a comparable course of studies and are at least in the third semester of your Bachelor's degree or in your master's degree
• You have a focus in mathematical finance and are familiar with non-Gaussian stochastic processes
• Enjoy programming
• You have experience with Python and analytic libraries (Pandas, Numpy)
• Fluent in English
• Enthusiastic about working close with other members of the team – sharing ideas and developing models together.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize own work, taking initiative to improve processes when required

• Start date: As soon as possible
• Working time: 20 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours per week (full-time) in vacation time
• Duration: minimum 6 months
