As the USM Customer Engineering Manager, you will perform the following duties:

  • Investigate modification costs and potential opportunities for value increase
  • Analyze retrofit initiatives and develop strategic purchasing and inventory proposals
  • Oversee interchangeability issues and address value discrepancies in inventory
  • Facilitate technical clarifications with teardown providers and vendors, addressing issues like mishandling and guaranteed repairable BER limits
  • Define and maintain a technical portfolio tailored to the customer base, considering PMA, DER, and maintenance scopes
  • Assess customer requirements, such as United’s ECRA, and develop corresponding inventory strategies
  • Oversee and clarify documentation requirements, including B2B, commercial trace and certification standards
  • Provide technical expertise and support

If you want to be the next USM Customer Engineering Manager, you must fulfill the following requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED desirable
  • College degree/vocational training desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable
  • 3-4 years of experience in Aviation MRO Engineering
  • Fluency in English language required
  • German language desirable
  • Knowledge desirable in component/System Engineering; Sales/Customer Service (MRO)
  • Computer literate skills in MS Office and SAP R3
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure
