To lead the Unix / Linux Team and define identity management best practices. To be successful in this position the candidate must have a thorough understanding of identify management, Linux and Solaris. The leadership position will steward in new changes for the Unix environment and identity management throughout the company

  • Coordinate patching/upgrade activities for critical Unix and Linux components in an automated fashion.
  • Provide L4 support to resolve incidents in support of their infrastructure
  • Perform analysis of the infrastructure environment and resolve issues/problems accordingly
  • Participate in technical projects involving server, storage, telecommunications, and network
  • Respond to service requests from support groups, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain documentation of various environments.
  • Oversee the Linux and Solaris technology stack. Coordinate with team members regarding golden images and functionality. Incorporating new features as required by business.
  • Team support during the weekend when required for all locations for any issues requiring support (on-call rotation)
  • Ability to engage team members and coordinate activities and goals
  • Maintain the integrity of the operating environment in accordance with policy and best practices
  • The ability to direct the work of others while assisting them
  • Demonstrating ability to design and layout Solaris and Linux servers.
  • A thorough understanding of Solaris virtualization
  • Maintain and develop the LDAP architecture as needed.
  • Deploy new LDAP servers and manage the toolchain to support the management of ldap metadata.
  • SSL certificate management for LDAP servers, clients and web servers.
  • Develop procedures & scripts for LDAP client enrollment.
  • Working with multiple teams to drive solutions, ex, the build-out of LDAP web interface for user management.
  • Ability to jump on a call and support the various teams within the company regarding infrastructure issues. Solving complex networking, scripting, and automation issues.
  • Manage the VW postfix internet relays and clients. TLS setup and deployment.
QualificationsQualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred

Experience:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in an Enterprise Infrastructure environment.
  • Efficient in scripting
  • Ability to deploy patch management systems using scripting tools for Network and Telecom.
  • Ability to self-direct and work independently as required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Technical and Non-Technical)
  • Extremely "Detail Oriented" individual with the ability to multi-task
  • Positive mental attitude, solution architect, team builder
  • Advanced Proficiency in the following software skills:
    • Infoblox
    • Service Center
    • MS Office toolset
    • Team Quest
    • VRealize operations
    • VMware
  • Preferred, but not required, experience with the following:
    • Kubernetes
    • Docker
    • Ansible Tower
    • Satellite server

Percentage of required travel: up to 25%

Physical requirements:

  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.
