- Formative role in the Development and Integration of MTU’s Flying Fuel Cell (FFC) propulsion system; a hydrogen-electric, fuel-cell-based propulsion option for future climate-neutral aircraft
- Owning Systems Engineering Methods and Tools in the frame of the propulsion system development, for example Model-Based Systems Engineering, Requirements Based Engineering, Configuration Management
- Support of the Architectural Design of the FFC propulsion system, yielding the globally optimized system architecture, balancing aspects of the electrical, fluidic, mechanical, performance and control domains
- Developing tools enabling automatized data exchange between relevant Systems Engineering platforms
- Contribution to specific development projects applying Model-Based Systems Engineering methods
- Collaboration in the frame of the FFC system development within interdisciplinary multi-functional teams
- Close collaboration with the system simulation group in the context of overall system design and optimization
- Support of verification and validation activities, including full-scale ground- and flight-testing
- Responsibility for the availability and aptitude of the Systems Engineering Methods and Tools with respect to the FFC project needs in this doma
- Contribution to the evolutionary improvement of system development processes and tools
- Collaboration with external industry and research partners in the frame of FFC technology development
- Collaboration in the frame of national and European research projects in the context of the FFC
- University degree in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
- Profound Experience in the field of Systems Engineering and related topics, such as Architectural Design, Model-Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Systems Modeler preferred), Requirements Based Engineering (Doors NG preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in field of object-based coding (Java preferred)
- Preferably experience in the field of Electric Propulsion, ideally related to fuel-cell based propulsion for Aircraft
- Preferably knowledge of Aerospace Processes, Methods and Standards for System Development, Validation & Verification, Qualification and Certification, e.g. ARP4754, ARP4761, Do178, Do254, Do160
- Proven analytical and organizational skills
- Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders
- Very good knowledge of English
