WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Our Battery Material unit develops a complete cycle for the recycling of battery materials, which is a key component of a sustainable battery business. The company plans rapid growth and significant investments in the coming years.

  • As Supply Chain Network Planner in Battery Recycling, you are responsible for the demand and supply planning process, which includes demand, supply, capacity and inventory planning throughout our supply chain network under consideration of best cost set-up, with internal and external production and storage facilities. You are collecting all relevant information, preparing and leading the related meetings with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • This comprises monthly planning cycles with network partners including their reporting on stocks and processed materials, being the interface to warehouses, sub-contractors, internal functions and central BASF units as well as the related administrative work in SAP.
  • One of your tasks is inventory management, which includes reporting, monitoring and forecasting of inventories as well as coordination of stocktaking at network partners.
  • You are also in charge of reporting and forecasting on applicable demand, supply and inventory information for our monthly business steering process using BASF reporting tools as well as Excel and unit specific applications.
  • Additionally, you plan material allocation and movement of goods, intercompany business, managing of packaging loops, replenishment, return and inventory of empty packaging across several locations and troubleshooting along the supply chain.
  • Furthermore, you support the definition of planning processes and the implementation of a new planning solution for battery recycling including a continuous improvement process as well as the implementation of a packaging management system.
  • Lastly, you assist and support regional projects to optimize the supply chain of battery materials and recycling.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • master's degree in economics or bachelor's degree in economics with several years relevant working experience
  • in depth knowledge in the field of supply chain planning
  • familiar with MS-Office applications and Power BI, SAP (S4/R3 + APO or IBP), SCI reporting as well as unit specific applications
  • convincing and effective communication in English and German along with customer-oriented working style
