WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The group In vivo-Toxicology provides a broad range of animal studies. We support all BASF business units in order to enable a successful registration of products worldwide.
 

  • Integrated in our Experimental Toxicology and Ecology department you will plan, conduct and evaluate repeated-dose as well as reproduction toxicity studies (mainly in rats) according to the agreed timelines and budget.
  • One of your main responsibilities will address the assessment and reporting of hematology and clinical chemistry parameters including interpretation of metabolome data.
  • Fulfilling this task, you will closely work together with other research scientists and colleagues from BASF's regulatory toxicology groups.
  • All studies have to be compliant with animal welfare, GLP and ISO.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • PhD in veterinary science or equivalent qualification, further training and qualification in clinical pathology/laboratory diagnostics favorable
  • solid understanding of animal welfare requirements
  • experience in toxicology and familiarity with conducting toxicological studies under GLP are favorable
  • good knowledge of standard IT applications as well as good German and English language skills
  • experience in managing scientific projects and ability to work in a result-driven environment as well as in a diverse team
  • interest and willingness to work in an intercultural team
