For our Institute of Software Technology in Braunschweig we are looking for Student Computer Science or similar (m/f/x) Augmented Reality (AR) for Verification of Georeferenced Infrastructure What to expect: Modern AR devices allow virtual information to be superimposed to a user's real environment in a specific location. Georeferenced datasets – especially those updated often – like traffic sign datasets require continuous verification to ensure that the data is still valid. In this way, discrepancies between the target and actual state of the data can be detected more easily. Within the scope of this position, your task is to develop a modular plugin for Unreal engine-based AR application for visualizing data available from geo-servers and updating discrepancies, if any, in the available data on the server and the real data.
