Signaling Specialist (f/m/d)

For this bid we are seeking a Signaling Specialist to oversee the implementation of telecommunication networks and automatic fare collection systems for a high-speed rail project. The role involves design verification, tender document preparation, testing and commissioning, and system integration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform design verification and validation of high-speed rail signalling systems to ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.
• Lead and support the preparation and evaluation of tender documents related to signalling systems.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities, ensuring all systems meet functional and safety requirements.
• Conduct and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for signalling equipment.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide technical support and guidance for ETCS (European Train Control System) and CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) GoA4 implementations where applicable and ensure compliance with international signalling standards.
• Review and assess technical documentation related to signalling systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support the project team in risk assessment, safety assurance, and reliability analyses.
• Lead and manage teams of design engineers and executing engineers to ensure timely and quality project deliverables.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Railway Engineering.
• 20+ years of overall experience, with at least 10 years in high-speed rail signaling projects.
• Proven expertise in design verification, tender document preparation, and evaluation.
• Hands-on experience in testing and commissioning, FAT/SAT of railway signaling systems and strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of ETCS and CBTC GoA4 is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment as well as excellent communication and report-writing skills in English, Thai language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience working on international high-speed rail projects.
• Knowledge of Safety Integrity Levels and railway cybersecurity principles.
