Role Purpose:

Senior Shipping Executive is the key role who is responsible to perform daily import and export operations. He/ She must also perform processing of certificate of origin, customs documentation as well as billing invoices

Major Responsibilities:

1. All import shipments’ coordination with forwarders and internal customer to ensure that the cargo arrive as per schedule
2. All export shipments’ coordination with forwarders and internal customer to ensure that the cargo are shipped as planned
3. Monitoring on time arrival date for incoming shipment
4. Managing freight forwarder to ensure smooth and timely delivery of shipment / collection of shipment
5. Work closely with forwarders on their service level and accuracy of shipping documents declaration
6. Verification for all permits declared by agent
7. Liaise with forwarders and insurance company on cargo damage issue
8. Application of certificate of origin
9. Verification and processing of forwarder’s invoices
10. Processing Credit Note and Debit Note requisition for required transactions
11. Processing full spectrum of shipping documents required for filing and audit purpose
12. Updating of Shipping Operations Procedures
13. Generating reports for day-to-day shipping operations analysis and performance review
14. Participating in and being the main liaison for internal and external audits
15. Managing and/or leading projects, as well as participating actively as a team member of Transport Management System (TMS) and other projects
16. Administering the TMS system
17. Analyzing and preparing data for shipping tenders, as well as evaluating the responses
18. Collecting and preparing data for LOG-012 Freight Statistics

Requirements:

• Degree in Logistics Management, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration
• At least 5 Years of experience in handling shipping operations and documentations
• Good knowledge of logistics operations and documentation (e.g. air/ sea/ road/ express courier import and export)
• Good knowledge of DG Cargo
• Good knowledge of cargo insurance claims procedures
• Good knowledge of Certificate of Origin application procedures
• Good understanding of Incoterms
• Good understanding of HS Code and customs procedures
• Good knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, outlook, access)
