WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a Project Managing Consultant, you make a real difference for the future of BASF by providing innovative solutions and effective recommendations to BASF's leaders. Our internal customers include the entire value chain of BASF from base chemicals to specialties, each with their unique requirements. You will be focusing on the topics of sustainability, end-to-end supply chain processes, automation & digitalization initiatives and complexity management.

• Hands-on: From day 1 onwards, you are involved in impactful projects which focus on complex supply chain topics supporting our internal customers.
• Impact: As a member of our global Supply Chain Consulting network, you lead a project from initial shape-up to actual implementation planning.
• Broad: Based on our comprehensive consulting, your projects may range from supply chain strategy and S&OP to cost- and inventory optimization as well as logistics processes (warehousing, transportation).
• Personal growth: You work on projects with inhouse consultants from our sister teams of management and operations consultancy as well as with expert departments, giving you the opportunity to further develop your commercial and operations know-how.
• Management exposure: Along the entire project, you communicate directly with BASF's mid to top management as well as all other project stakeholders.
• Competencies: To foster our role as thought-leader in supply chain, you keep up with the latest trends to develop new methodologies and solutions for our future supply chain challenges.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• Our ideal candidate for our team can build on the following competencies and experience:

• several years of professional experience in supply chain consulting
• strong background in at least one of the following: Supply Chain Strategy, planning, and S&OP or End-to-end process-, cost, and inventory optimization, including SC digitalization or Logistics processes, e.g., warehousing, transportation, 3PL
• strong strategic thinker, combined with hands-on mentality
• background in the chemical or processing industry is an advantage
• intercultural orientation, with excellent proficiency in English
• international work experience and mastering German is a plus
• willingness to travel on projects needs basis and perspective to support cross regional and global projects

• Hybrid Work: You can combine remote work with up to 3 office days. Regular visits of our headquarters in Ludwigshafen are required, e.g. for monthly team days or unit events. Depending on the project/client, journeys to other BASF sites may be necessary as well.
