The Supply Strategy EU team plays a critical role in shaping the operational decisions of the Amazon Middle Mile (EU) network by harnessing the power of data analytics. We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Business Analyst with a deep understanding of analytics and a proven track record of dissecting complex datasets to derive actionable insights. This role will be pivotal in driving strategic decision-making, optimizing supply chain operations, and ensuring the timely delivery of Amazon's products to customers across the region.
This role will give the candidate the ability to influence and drive organization level decisions by leading a team that will deliver across various levels of leadership in a highly complex, ambiguous, and impactful space. We are looking for Managers with a strong delivery record, strong analytical skills, people leadership, and proven project management experience to own strategic long term planning, tactical, and cross-functional and technology projects and programs within Amazon Transportation Services.
This role is focused on the Think Big, Earns Trust, Dive Deep and Deliver Results leadership principles. With the ability to navigate ambiguity, use data to define a roadmap, and an interest in product and technology development all being key to success.
Key job responsibilities
• Analyze industry trends and evolving network level performance to proactively identify demand execution plan variation opportunities to minimize risk associated to the quarterly plan, protect continuity of supply, and utilize supply program developments that benefit the Amazon Linehaul business.
• Utilize advanced analytical techniques to analyze industry trends, network performance data, and operational metrics. Proactively identify opportunities for optimizing demand execution plans, minimizing risks, and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research scientists, data scientists, software engineers, and program managers to develop and implement strategic plans for the Amazon Transportation Services division. Drive initiatives aimed at improving forecasting accuracy, resource planning, and operational processes.
• Lead efforts to optimize demand execution plans, streamline allocation processes, and enhance network resiliency. Continuously monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to liquidity, speed, and on-time delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders across the supply chain organization to influence decision-making, drive process improvements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Act as a liaison between business units to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain operations. Collaborate with program managers and business leaders to develop contingency plans and ensure business continuity.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting frameworks to track the performance of key programs and initiatives. Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- A degree
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience leading process improvements
