As a Senior Cloud Application Architect, you will be engaged in complex projects with autonomy and discretion, often involving multiple Amazon and customer teams.
Key job responsibilities
On a daily basis, you will work with customers and partners, guiding and supporting them through planning, prioritization and delivery of complex transformation initiatives, while collaborating with relevant Sales and Service Teams. You will help with designing and delivering of solutions that solve for new levels of complexity, scale and performance, and in turn, enable breakthrough innovations. You will create and apply frameworks, methods, best practices and artifacts that deliver prescriptive guidance to customers, and publish and present them in large forums and across various media platforms. This can require traveling to customers locations.

- Multiple years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, .NET, Python, PHP or Ruby
- Hands-on experience with software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and deployment, release and change management)
- Proven experience in designing and building highly available, resilient, large-scale distributed systems
- Proven track record in leading innovation initiatives and best practices across multiple development teams or customers
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Previous experiences as Software / Solution Architect, Lead Architect or similar role
- Experience in architecting, designing and developing applications on the AWS platform
- Experience in designing and modernizing applications using containers, serverless technologies and event-driven architectures
- Prior consulting experience working directly with customers and partners
