As an SAP Business Intelligence (BI) Platform Architect at ZEISS, you will have a pivotal role in shaping the basis and data fundamentals of Data Analytics, contributing significantly to the success of the digital transformation. In this challenging position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the SAP BI system architecture for our organization, ensuring that the SAP BI platform (On-Premise and Cloud) aligns with business requirements and facilitates effective decision-making processes. The platforms within the scope of this role include BWonHANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, Data Intelligence, HANA Cloud, and SAP Analytics Cloud.

Your Role

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into an effective SAP BI platform design

• Design the overall architecture of the SAP BI platform, including data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, and reporting components

• Ensure that the SAP BI platform architecture aligns with industry best practices and supports scalability, performance, and security requirements

• Identify and recommend appropriate SAP BI tools and technologies to meet specific business needs

• Lead the implementation of the SAP BI platform architecture, working closely with development teams, database administrators, and other stakeholders

• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and guiding them on how to effectively use the SAP BI platform

• Develop and maintain a roadmap to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements for SAP BI cross-platform functionalities

• Support Product Owners on providing a data quality and monitoring framework for data consistency improvement and optimization

• Conduct training sessions and create documentation to educate users on the features and functionalities of the SAP BI tools

• Stay updated with the latest SAP BI trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend enhancements to the existing platform

• Act as a subject matter expert on the SAP BI platform and provide guidance to other team members

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in product management or related field

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing SAP BI solutions

• Hands on experience with SAP Datasphere is preferred

• Knowledge on architecture set-up for On-Premise and Cloud Platforms

• In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing concepts

• Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile methodologies

• Familiarity with SAP BI security and governance practices

• Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions

• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex product issues

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Relevant SAP certifications are advantageous

• Advanced English language skills
