Role overview
The Collections Team is essential to the success of Porsche Financial Services (PFS), Bentley Financial Services (BFS), and Lamborghini Financial Services (LFS). This team is responsible for effectively collecting overdue payments on retail and lease accounts, playing a crucial role in helping the organization keep credit losses to a minimum across all entities. Additionally, the Collections Team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of customer experience.
The Risk-Based Collections Analyst is a critical expert role within the Collections team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Accounts Resolutions and Collections. This senior analyst position is designed for a professional with highly advanced skills and extensive experience in the field, focusing on the sophisticated analysis of delinquent accounts to accurately classify risk profiles and develop highly effective collection strategies that maximize payments and recoveries. The analyst will take the lead on initiatives related to account sequencing, assignment timing, and treatment strategies, all grounded in comprehensive risk categorization. Key responsibilities include implementing advanced segmentation strategies, conducting thorough assessments of customer credit risk, and optimizing workflows to enhance operational efficiency. The analyst will also develop tailored strategies that consider optimal contact methods and escalation procedures, ensuring a strategic approach to collections that reflects a deep understanding of industry best practices.
Additionally, the senior analyst will monitor and test controls within the Collections organization and address various risk categories, including credit, operational, and compliance risks. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders will be essential for enhancing reporting mechanisms and promoting data-driven excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of the complete customer portfolio to assess the probability of payment and evaluate the associated risks of delinquency or nonpayment. Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and potential risk factors across the entire portfolio, enabling informed decision-making and strategic risk management.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of risk-based collections strategies tailored to individual customer risk profiles. This includes not only the creation of strategies focused on optimal contact methods (such as the best time and channel for outreach), escalation procedures, assignment timing, and customized treatment approaches, but also ensuring their effectiveness through continuous monitoring and evaluation (champion /challenger).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine collections strategies based on performance metrics and evolving customer behaviors. Engage in regular discussions and data analysis to identify areas for improvement, ensuring that strategies remain effective and aligned with organizational goals, ultimately driving enhanced collections outcomes.
- Leverage advanced technical tools and data analysis to segment and prioritize accounts and optimizing the collections team’s workflows to concentrate on accounts with the highest risk exposure. Utilize data to its fullest potential, providing actionable insights and recommendations that enhance efficiency, drive performance, and support informed decision-making within the collections process.
- Lead the design, creation, and refinement of comprehensive dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to effectively monitor account performance, collection progress, and overall portfolio health. Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to present complex information in a clear and actionable format. Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations for process improvements that significantly enhance efficiency and effectiveness in portfolio management. Prepare and deliver in-depth reports and compelling presentations on account risk, collection activities, and overall portfolio performance for senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Engage in strategic collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Credit Risk Management, Credit Services, Compliance, Legal, and Customer Service, to continuously enhance reporting mechanisms and optimize key performance indicators. Drive a culture of data-driven excellence within the organization by ensuring that all strategies align with regulatory requirements and company policies. Foster open communication and teamwork to facilitate the sharing of insights and best practices, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the organization’s commitment to compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Keep informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors that affect credit and collections practices.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
Experience (Job and Industry):
- 6+ years of experience in collections, and risk analysis, or a similar technical role within the financial services industry.
- Expertise in developing risk-based strategies and analyzing customer data to drive decision-making.
- Proficiency in collections management software, data visualization tools, and advanced Excel functions; experience with SQL or similar tools is a plus.
- Analytical skills, including the ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and make informed decisions based on risk assessments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes of delinquent accounts and develop solutions to address the delinquencies.
- Good understanding of relevant credit and collection laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all strategies and actions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience working with a collaborative cross-functional team, attention to detail, and good follow up skills.

The salary range for this role is $87,000-$92,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements .
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand for long period of time during events, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.

This position operates in a hybrid /remote and in office environment. This role will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners etc.
