Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Digital / Automation Sales Manager to join our team in North America. This position is focused on driving sales and expanding our market presence within the pulp and paper industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and digital solutions, coupled with a deep understanding of the pulp and paper sector.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives. Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand their needs and challenges to propose effective digital and automation solutions.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our digital and automation products and services. Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, ensuring they understand the value and benefits of our offerings.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities within the pulp and paper industry. Use this information to inform sales strategies and product development.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to customers, highlighting the advantages of our digital and automation solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with customers to secure contracts and close deals. Ensure terms and conditions align with company policies and customer expectations.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management, tracking progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in industrial automation, digital solutions, or related fields. Experience in the pulp and paper industry is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Willingness to travel extensively within North America to meet with customers and attend industry events.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
- Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
- Must wear gloves and ear protection.
