We are looking for an experienced risk manager (m/f/d) to shape the future of Brand Escalation and Engagement Management worldwide. This team of risk managers investigate complex cases of suspected infringement of intellectual property and other abuse. With our findings, we drive improvements for policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers. We take appropriate action to defend intellectual property, to protect brands, and to ensure compliance with Amazon policies.
In this role you will partner with various other teams at Amazon including Customer Trust External Relations, Legal, Retail, Product Quality & Safety, Selling Partner Performance, Counterfeit Crimes Unit, Compliance or Brand Registry. You will interact with Amazon leadership on complex investigations and you will improve the way Amazon protects customers from fraud and abuse.
Key job responsibilities
- Perform holistic investigations of brand's abuse reports, deep dives on brand and selling partner experience, identification of escalation root causes
- Communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and propose improvements to Amazon processes and tools resulting from deep dive findings
- Break down complexity and identified root causes into actionable preventive action proposals
- Ability to identify, gather and analyze data points during investigations
A day in the life
As a BEEM Risk Manager (RM), you'll be at the forefront of protecting brand integrity in our WW stores. Your typical day involves:
• Leading complex and holistic investigations into brand escalations, including reviewing brand profiles, trademark status, reporting history, and current protection measures
• Conducting thorough analyses of reported products and implementing decisive actions to address potential infringement and abuse
• Engaging directly with external brand partners to resolve issues
• Building and maintaining strategic relationships with internal stakeholders to drive resolution of critical issues as well as process improvements
Beyond daily operations, you'll have the opportunity to lead high-impact projects that shape the future of our brand protection framework. This role combines investigative expertise, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking to create a safer shopping experience for our customers and brands.
About the team
Brand Escalation and Engagement Management (BEEM) is a worldwide team of Risk Managers experienced in the field of Brand Protection. We are an international and diverse team, collaborating closely while being located in different regions globally. We strive to identify, resolve and prevent brand-targeted abuse from the worldwide Amazon Stores. We handle escalations coming from brands and their internal Amazon stakeholders. We conduct holistic investigations, perform root cause analysis of escalation drivers, and pursue initiatives across global program teams to prevent future incidents related to the same root cause gap. We engage with brands and their stakeholders to support us during our investigation and de-escalate when needed.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
- Ability to present complex information in a concise manner in written
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience with research and investigation skills or equivalent
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- Experience with intellectual property protection, impersonation, copyright, trademark or patent enforcement
