JOIN THE TEAM

We are a leading global research organization with over 3000 employees working in the field of material and analytical science, chemical synthesis, process development, bioscience, catalysis and digitalization. With our creative and diverse teams as well as our cutting-edge research, we help to make our customers more successful and drive the sustainability transformation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the Reaction Engineering unit, the High Temperature Reactions team develops innovative reactors for high-temperature processes, e.g. methane pyrolysis. Sophisticated experiments go hand in hand with modeling and simulation. The central driver is the reduction of CO2 emissions from large basic chemicals. In the projects, we work closely with experts from process development, specialist departments, technology, operations, marketing and workshops. If you enjoy bringing experiments and mathematical models together, getting to the heart of complex relationships and achieving success as part of a team, then perhaps we belong together!

  • As a member of the development team, you will work independently on sub-projects.
  • At the same time, you will be involved in the methodological development of the field of work - either as part of process development or by initiating and implementing separate projects.
  • Together with the team leader, you will be responsible for the technical management of the employees assigned to the project.
  • You will benefit from our comprehensive expertise within our large research network. In this dynamic environment, you will maintain an intensive network of contacts with operational units and scientific partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or technical chemistry supplemented by a doctorate
  • sound knowledge of reaction engineering and reactor design. Experience in the field of high-temperature technology (e.g. combustion, materials or electrical heating) is an advantage
  • enjoy solving complex problems - depending on the requirements, sometimes "hands on" and sometimes with attention to detail
  • ambition to try out new methods and develop better solutions
  • confident and open communication in German and English
  • committed and independent way of working while at the same time enjoying working in teams
  • profound data mindset and ability to leverage digital skills and means to solve scientific problems
BENEFITS
  • Inspiring networks for the development and implementation of your ideas (e.g. Women in Business)
  • Mentoring programs and learning opportunities for your professional and personal development
  • Career paths as professional development to other positions in the company (including job rotation)
  • Support with childcare (e.g. company daycare, holiday programmes)
  • Fitness and health studio, medical center with numerous offers for your health
  • Deutschlandticket as a discounted job ticket, job bike, availability of e-charging stations for private vehicles
  • Attractive remuneration and a variable bonus
  • Innovative projects to contribute to a sustainable future
  • Cooperation with interdisciplinary and diverse teams within an international company
