Position Overview

Details of the role and how it fits into the team

In the area of ​​TDI PB Germany, Customer Journey, we develop native Deutsche Bank mobile apps for iOS and Android. The focus is on innovative banking solutions such as transfer functions, a mobile payment system, and brokerage functions.

In our agile development team, the QA & Test Engineer is responsible for maintaining the quality of the application by running manual and automated tests.

Your key responsibilities

  • Plan and execute full set of test activities, specifically app testing for our mobile banking apps: test analysis, test case creation, test execution, and defect analysis

  • Plan and implement the full set of test automation activities (e.g., unit-, integration-, and UI tests)

  • Organise entire test cycles and create, maintain, and execute automated tests

  • Develop and extend in-house test automation tools and test frameworks

  • Work alongside developers and QA engineers within the Feature Team and collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters in order to build and maintain features

Your skills and experiences

  • Fundamental experience and a detailed understanding of manual testing, especially for mobile apps

  • Solid QA automation experience using at least two of the following technologies: IntelliJ IDE, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, Selenium, Maven, and GitHub

  • Experienced in using XML and JSON; familiar with Cl processes like Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub, and building tools like Maven

  • Strong knowledge in software development processes, models, lifecycles, and varying - preferably agile - working methodologies

  • Effective team player with good communication- and interpersonal skills that is able to work independently in an agile, multi-cultural, globally distributed team
