Regulatory Reporting

An application domain set up for regulatory requirements assurance on various asset classes (OTC derivatives - such as EMIR and MiFID II in Europe, Dodd-Frank in US, and more jurisdictions in APAC, Switzerland, South Africa; Repo – SFTR, MMSR etc.). These regulations require banks and financial institutions to report trades to designated Trade Repositories, approved and supervised by regulatory institutions.

The domain has a massive flow of new functionality requirements coming from new regulations and large initiatives like MIFID2, EMIR, SFTR. It also has a huge focus on architecture work to make the systems modular/scalable/reliable and decrease time to market for new development.

The technology stack is Kotlin and Java for business logic, Oracle for database storage, Apache Storm for data processing, Java Maps/ Hazelcast for caching, Tableau for reporting, Solace/ JMS / IBM MQ for messaging.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with Functional Analysts and dev leads on building test cases

  • Perform functional, regression, performance testing

  • Plan and implement full set of test automation activities: create, maintain and execute automated tests.

  • Develop and extend in-house testing automation tools and test frameworks

  • Take initiative and lead to optimize a length of test cycle and therefore time to market for new functionality

Your skills and experiences

  • Several years of working experience in Software Development or Quality Assurance

  • Knowledge of any programming language (preferably Java/Kotlin)

  • Knowledge of SQL and Shell scripting

  • Upper Intermediate English and good communication skills

  • Strong test design/test planning experience

  • Experience in using automated testing and automated tests development
