GIZ International Services is looking for an Expert (m/f/d) in the frame of the preparation for a participation in a tender "Municipal Infrastructure Development Programme (MIDP) - Project Preparation Facility Ukraine (PPF) 2025 – 2029", funded by SECO.
Key expert 5 will assist key expert 4 (Infrastructure expert, local team lead) with a particular focus on procurement of goods, services, contracting of short-term experts in Ukraine and general contract management. This may be related to the procurement of quick-win measures whenever they are sourced locally (component 1)
General Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree (for national key expert: minimum bachelor’s degree) in engineering, public procurement, architecture, or similar relevant discipline.
- Proficiency in English language.
General professional experience
- At least 7 years of experience in procurement of civil construction works and associated services.
- 3 years of experience in leading and managing teams of technical experts in Ukraine
Specific professional experience
- 5 years of experience in the design, implementation and supervision of municipal infrastructure projects in Ukraine.
- Experience in the implementation of international projects of basic urban infrastructure in some of the following fields, complementary to the expertise of key experts 1 and 2, is an advantage: energy-efficiency (e.g. in buildings, district heating), renewable energy, public transport (urban and agglomeration), urban water supply and wastewater management).
- Working experience in civil engineering for municipal infrastructure in Ukraine: technical and financial planning as well as construction or supervision of municipal infrastructure projects in Ukraine. Working experience in quality assurance of civil works projects is an advantage.
- Working experience with projects financed by IFIs, SECO, SDC and/or the private sector is an advantage.
The project will be implemented mainly in Ukraine. This position is foreseen to be located in Switzerland.
