Project Scheduler

Summary –
The Project Scheduler is a key member of the project team and supports the Project Manager with all scheduling aspects of the project including baselining and updating of a schedule, variance analysis, recovery plans, earned value analysis, and Monte Carlo risk analysis.
The incumbent in this position will:
- Have significant interface with the Project Management organization in addition to the functional areas of Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Field Service.
- Interface when needed directly with external partners and customers.
- Overview the project execution from both high level and detailed perspectives.
- Ensure tools and processes are followed and will define counter measures to ensure quality of data.
- Monitor key performance indicators and take the necessary actions to ensure excellent execution of projects.
Responsibilities –
- Creation, maintenance, and update of project schedules according to the contractual requirements
- Identify critical path, multiple float path, potential bottlenecks
- Provide early warnings for any potential risks as well as opportunities using earned value analysis, float utilization, resource leveling, Monte Carlo risk analysis, and capacity planning
- Support Project Managers with customer reports, dashboards, presentations and meetings related to scheduling and delivery performance
- Critically review a schedule and apply concepts of resource loading, cost loading, critical path, fast track and crashing to get an optimal time schedule
- Support Project Manager and Commercial Manager on claim management, utilizing fragnets in the schedule
- Ensure adherence of execution to the project schedule
- Create and follow up on recovery plans
- Observe and evaluate KPIs
- Prepare schedules for projects in the bidding phase in coordination with Offer Project Manager and Department Heads
Required Skills/Abilities –
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Engineering
- Project and/or construction scheduling experience or equivalent experience in Engineering, Purchasing/Sourcing, Manufacturing or Construction
- Excellent analytical and organization skill
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent interaction and communication skills
- Knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), resource loading, baseline, progress tracking
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP is a plus)
- Team player, effective negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Must have demonstrated successful experience and proactivity
- Expertise in Excel and overall MS Office suite
- Previous experience in project-business or manufacturing environment is preferred
Physical Requirements –
- The employee is also required to talk and/or hear in an office setting (noise level is low). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an office environment from 4-8 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
- The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
- The employee may be required to lift objects up to 25 lbs., and perform other tasks related to an industrial environment.
- The job may require travel.
