We are a leading company in the Automation Industry, specializing in the design and manufacture of Explosion Protection Equipment. Our products include Ex d (Explosion-proof device) and Ex e (Explosion-proof equipment) and related enclosures, designed to ensure safety and reliability in the most challenging environments. Role Purpose:

As the Production/Planner Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 10 factory staff, ensuring efficient, high-quality production while maintaining the highest safety standards. Reporting to the Director/General Manager, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, meeting delivery targets, and fostering a positive team culture.

Major Accountabilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demands and deadlines
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of factory staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration
• Manage inventory (Warehouse), materials, and resources to minimize waste and ensure production efficiency
• Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and productivity
• Understanding and experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing frameworks and mindset
• Ensure compliance with Ex d and Ex e manufacturing standards and relevant regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and procurement, to ensure seamless operations
• Liaise with and report progress of production schedules with stakeholders both internally and externally, inform on production status, potential delays and inventory levels

Role Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field (preferred)
• Must have proven experience as a Production Manager or planner with supervisory /management experience or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using ERP Systems for material requirements planning, demand and capacity planning, warehouse and stocking
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly within the Explosion Protection, Automation industries or similar industries and environments
• Familiarity with Ex d and Ex e standards and practices is highly desirable
• Able to understand AutoCAD drawings and demonstrate understanding of engineering drawings
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance
