PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The above role is responsible for promoting and selling our products directly or indirectly to hospitals and medical professionals. The incumbent will build strong customer relations through excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Function / Category:

  • Actively pursues new business on a daily basis and maintains thorough territory knowledge of prospects and competitive products.
  • Uses best business practices to ensure success in areas of responsibility.
  • Customer cold calls, direct marketing.
  • Utilizes all services provided by BIOTRONIK to increase sales, such as (1)corporate physician visitation;(2)advanced device, technology and therapy programs;(3)corporate executive visits; and(4)local sales management.
  • Identifies and builds strong and lasting business relationships with all key decision makers (clinical, administrative/economic) key opinion leaders and key referrals in all accounts.
  • Performs all activities (in line with the sales strategy) from product introduction and presentation to contract negotiation to accomplish or exceed planned objectives as to sales volume, market penetration, and profitability.
  • Responds quickly to customer questions and needs and resolve customer issues.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, completing legal product complaint report and submitting to Bulach along with the product. When analysis report is returned from Bulach, a follow-up meeting is held with the customer.
  • Maintains and acquires new product, technology, market, sales tool and process knowledge.
  • Ensures compliance with BIOTRONIK policies and practices.
  • Acquires and develops all necessary professional state-of-the-art selling skills, in accordance with the company’s personal development program.
  • Provides BIOTRONIK with accurate reports on sales activities and new business forecasts in the manner requested.
  • Identifies and prepares upcoming tenders.
  • Attends and participates in professional congresses and events as required.
  • Ensures that consignment and all other stock levels are properly controlled.
  • Tracks down performance and compares it to objectives on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis.
  • Reports all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion.
  • Maintains accurate records of expenses and judiciously spends BIOTRONIK funds in the pursuit of business.
