Position Overview
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for taking ownership of the roadmap for Porsche Lifestyle products, including apparel and accessories, which are designed and made in the United States, to further enrich our global product portfolio and local event merchandise program. This position is responsible for leading the product development, sourcing, and manufacturing of U.S. made capsule collections. You will collaborate with the global product management team in Germany and the local operations team to ensure delivery of the best product and user experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Expand the Porsche accessories division with vehicle-inspired lifestyle products that are made in the U.S.
- Develop and assess new product ideas by understanding market needs via market and competition analysis. Stay apprised of market trends and competitive products.
- Work cross-functionally with Porsche internal teams at our Headquarters in Germany.
- Source and liaise with local suppliers; manage design, sample production quality assurance and compliance of local laws.
- Manage profitability analyses (inclusive of margins, quality, logistics) and ensure budget planning and in-time implementation meets expectations.
- Support the local marketing team with product launches, brand event activations and retail marketing initiatives to raise overall brand awareness.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business Administration
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of comprehensive relevant professional experience in product management or related field within the retail/apparel/luxury industry.
- Extensive network within the fashion manufacturing industry in the U.S. (especially California).
- Good understanding of consumer trends and lifestyle pop culture.
- People oriented, team player that can build strong partnerships across all channels.
- Pronounced understanding of processes and the ability to negotiate complex issues.
- Creative and strategic minded with strong executional abilities and a can-do attitude.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial, financial and business acumen.
- Excellent IT user skills, including Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong organizational skills, especially time-management and experience in meeting tight deadlines.
- Independent work style, self-starter, extremely organized and structured.
- Goal oriented and thrives on competition and challenges.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a wide range of colleagues and internal/external partner.
- German language – a plus, but not required.
Principal Working Relationships
- Reports to the Porsche Design of America Head of Marketing & PR (with a dotted line to the Head of Product Management at the Porsche Lifestyle Group).
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $105,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
