Process Development Engineer
We are looking to grow our team with the addition of a Process Development Engineer. The primary focus of the Design and Development Engineer position will be deployment of automated and digitally integrated process technologies used in the assembly of miniaturized electronic systems in collaboration with
worldwide design and development teams. Additional focus areas may include electrical and mechanical components, mechanical systems, automation platforms and digital integration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs and implements manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. Accountable for efficient and cost-effective designs, that increase reliability of production processes
and improve overall product quality.
- Integrates new products into production process on automated SMT assembly line and meet product reliability, process yield, throughput and manufacturing cost
targets.
- Independently manages complex projects in the areas of new process and systems platforms development and leads cross-functional teams with accountability for project results and
schedule.
- Contributes to new product platform development with design input, review and testing for design for assembly and reliability requirements.
- Completes process compatibility analysis of new electronic components for implantable medical electronics assembly and implement design and manufacturing process
improvements.
- Works within existing internal development and operations standards and procedures while also continuously improving and extending these standards and
procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated creativity and persistence in deployment of innovative solutions in one or more of process, electronics design, component technologies, and digital / software controlled
solutions in a cross functional environment.

- Maintains schedules, proactively communicating barriers to timely completion of tasks.
- Capable of producing results despite a degree of uncertainty, generally with the guidance and support of more senior personnel.
