Roles & responsibilities

During this internship you are responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic concepts and projects which help the parts business team set and achieve strategic objectives.

  • This role will be responsible for collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization. This includes collaboration across multiple business units within PCNA business, logistics organization and teams in Germany. Ideation around modernizing systems and or processes, automation and setting foundation for future efficiency and sustainable growth with customer focus.
  • Support and execute multiple projects and initiatives.
    • Example projects include:
      • Local product sourcing
      • Parts supply chain continuous improvement and risk reduction
      • Active participation in ongoing team project execution priorities
  • Support process documentation and work instruction culture.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, exemplifying the parts business ethos to “leave it better than you found it”
  • Support project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports and presentations.
  • Identify and report potential risks or issues in project execution.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling project timelines, tasks, and milestones.
  • Assist Parts Planning Manager to ensure day-to-day tactical work aligns with overall strategic vision of department
  • Assist team business owners in alignment with Parts Planning Manager process to ensure project structure and accountability.
  • Lead in organizing meetings, preparing agendas and following up on action items.
  • Objective setting optimization and automation (Internal and dealer)

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

Education:

  • Minimum Senior in undergraduate studies.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Post graduate preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, and or Data Analytics preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strategic and Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools (Project for the Web preferred) Must be organized, positive, proactive, results-oriented, with excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understands and incorporates project methodology.
  • Experience working with large scale data to build the reporting solutions.
  • Assist in the demonstration through proof of concepts and present them to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple groups on multiple levels.
  • Work with internal teams to understand the business requirements, translate them to technical design and requirements and build scalable and sustainable reporting solutions, with transition to automation in mind.

Percentage of required travel:

  • No travel required.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Must be able to commute to One Porsche Drive on weekdays for committed work schedule.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
