Mobile Device Management Specialist

The Mobile Device Management Specialist position is a new opportunity within our growing neuromodulation business unit. This position reports to our Software Maintenance and Fleet Management Lead. It is responsible for a fast-growing fleet of android and windows devices while maintaining a high standard of continuous improvements in mobile device management including managing OS updates, sustaining new cybersecurity demands, restricting access to device features and apps that are unnecessary for our end users. We use an off-the-shelf mobile device management (MDM) solution and custom dashboards developed on off-the-shelf data visualization tools.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the MDM profiles for our fleet of customer-facing Android phones and Windows tablets
  • Selecting suitable off-the-shelf products for mobile device management
  • Monitor our fleet of Android phones and Windows tablets for operational issues
  • Develop automated monitoring tools and alerts
  • Develop dashboards to present various quality metric

Your Profile

  • Education / Experience Requirements
    • 4 years creating solutions for mobile platforms using any of: Workspace One, Samsung Knox Suite, Miradore, Scalefusion, Intune, Android Enterprise, Mambo, or similar
    • Direct experience managing distribution of apps, including multiple app derivatives for targeted release to different regions or countries. Document the design and decisions and manage the configuration settings under a revision control system like git
    • In-depth knowledge of creating baselines, configuring policies, creating smart groups, etc.
    • Manage risks effectively and ensures products meet compliance and legal standards
    • Understand use cases and propose credible solutions to meet those needs
    • Android and Windows system administration
    • Good understanding of cyber security concepts (certificates, encryption, device hardening, authentication)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • EBS Degree in engineering in the field of computer science, or related field
    • Azure cloud-services
    • Scripting with Powershell, bash, or similar
    • Querying with SQL, N1QL, ElasticSearch
    • Data visualization with Kibana, Grafana, Qlik
    • C# software development (Visual Studio)
    • Working with REST APIs (Postman, cURL)

Location

  • This position is remote across the US. We maintain an office in Lake Oswego, Oregon. We expect the engineer to occasionally travel for on-site meetings, and we prefer local candidates.

Work Enviornment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Requirements:

This is a largely sedentary role. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
