Would you like to join and build up a new team to implement products like Request To Pay, Credit Card and alternative payment methods and in parallel service Merchants, Marketplace and Fintechs into a dynamic international environment? This is your opportunity!

Merchant Solutions enhances and combines Deutsche Bank’s corporate bank product offering across the entire payments value chain addressing B2B- and B2C business models. Implementing and servicing these state-of-the-art merchant solutions, products and clients will be undertaken by the Implementation & Service (I&S) organisation, which is already taking care of Cash Management electronic banking products, payment services, liquidity management and value-added services.

The Merchant Solution Implementation- & Service Specialist is the key to maintain client satisfaction, so that it is easy to do business with Deutsche Bank and, therefore a reason to stay. He/she will be accountable for the co-ordination of the end-to-end implementation, using standardized project management tools and acting as a project leader to ensure a fast, professional, and accurate implementation. In parallel this Specialist will be the first point of contact to support clients in their day-to-day business, which includes monitoring of payment flows, management of technical and payment related inquiries and issues and interact with Sales, Coverage or Operations ensuring in time delivery to our clients.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Accountable and responsible of the technical implementation of merchant projects coordinating all DB parties involved (e.g., Legal if required) and perform technical setups and tracking progress

  • Support during onboarding and technical implementation, hence identify changes in project scope, arrange and exchange necessary legal documentation with clients and organize trainings

  • Management of a portfolio of clients, respond to technical, account-/transaction related inquiries and provide solution in close coordination with Sales, Product Management, Operations in a dynamic international environment   

  • Organize and lead (international) meetings on issues and escalations that impact client’s operations by taking ownership for the identified issues until a successful resolution

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and to liaise with Sales about further follow-up and monitoring of committed revenues  together with stakeholders    

  • Further build up the I&S Merchant team, processes and procedures and participate e.g.in working groups and Knowledge Owner Responsibilities

 

Your skills and experiences

  • Apprenticeship in banking/ bachelor in finance or equivalent

  • Good understanding of corporate cash management and payment acceptance product offering

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, decisive and problem-solving skills and ability to take full ownership across the Merchant Services and I&S organization

  • Good understanding of connectivity protocols (https, AS2, FTPs, sFTP, FileAct, MACUG) and EDI formats

  • Good understanding of Workflow in API Payment and hands-on experience with Rest API and JSON, XML message formats.

  • Fluent English and German, verbal and written, additional languages are beneficial
