Summary
Job entails working in a fast paced production environment operating various powered lifting equipment such as: overhead cranes, mobile crane and forklift. Position is part of a trainee program designed prepare the employee for a Material Handler position.
Responsibilities
Employee is responsible for general movement, turning or other lifting activities as directed by Supervision utilizing overhead cranes and forklift.
Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a remote overhead crane
- Observe all workplace safety rules and regulations
- Move various parts or components to the appropriate areas.
- Work and communicate with supervisors to ensure smooth operations
- Inspect equipment and fill out service requests as necessary
Overhead Crane Operator Requirements and Qualifications
- Prior experience with overhead crane equipment (preferred)
- Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout your shift
- Strong communication skills
- Forklift experience or a forklift operator license (preferred)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic discipline aptitude/attitude
