For our Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich we are looking for a Master Student Engineering, Computer Science or similar (f/m/x) Improving Human-Robot-Interaction through Immersive Interfaces What to expect: Teleoperation of robotic systems, for example during space or search-and-rescue missions, is a highly demanding task for the operator. New possibilities of human-machine-interfaces like Mixed-Reality (MR) can help to reduce the mental workload of the user. To evaluate the benefits of a MR interface for the operator compared to standard graphical user interface (GUI), your task will be to develop a concept how to transfer the main features of an existing GUI for robotic teleoperation into a MR application. You will create a prototype based on your concept and evaluate it in a user study.
