YOUR ROLE
  • Experienced senior manager (d/f/m) that contributes to shaping Adhesive Technologies’ strategy for sustainability by further accelerating low emission raw materials as differentiator
  • The special focus is on driving lean / low CO2 approach in our supply base for scope 1/2 by shifting internal and supplier mindset and demonstrating thought leadership
  • Identify highest impact levers, derive and prioritize concrete initiatives and translate them into business plans 
  • Responsible for roadmap development, performance measurement and progress reporting for technology-related CO2 reduction initiatives in our Scope 3
  • Provide expertise on sustainability related topics such as recycling with special focus on chemical/advanced recycling 
  • Proactively engage with suppliers and regulatory bodies to shape future low emission chains in terms of energy usage/sources
  • Represent Henkel externally at association or industry initiatives, at customers, as well as in internal bodies - to improve our sustainability expertise, performance, and reputation
YOUR SKILLS
  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering or a related field (PhD optional)
  • Min. 5 years of professional experience in commercial roles in the chemical industry, ideally with a strong focus on sustainability related projects
  • Background and experience in purchasing, marketing or sales is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of complexity of products, technologies, and value chains required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Individual with both strategic and analytical mindset, strong project management skills, and passion about driving change and challenging the status quo
  • Fluent English language skills, good knowledge of German is an advantage
