Legal Counsel
Position Overview
Deutsche Bank is offering Cash Management Services in 35 locations around the globe to corporate customers and financial institutions. Managing such legal documentation in a consistent way requires both: a big picture and detailed view, negotiation skills and a client-centric, proactive and solution-oriented working ethic.
This skillset is combined in our team, Legal Documentation Centre of Competence (LDCC) of legal experts/Lawyers centrally working in Frankfurt and anchored directly in the business, supporting Deutsche Bank´s Corporate Bank Relationship Transaction Management (RTM) globally.
This includes:
negotiation of Service Agreements with Deutsche Bank’s corporate customers
advising the organization on legal documentation and process matters regarding the Cash Management Services provided to our customers in EMEA, APAC and AMERICAS
coordinating global harmonization of our contractual landscape and the development of smoother processes which requires a close cooperation with other internal stakeholders such as local legal, and various business units
preparation of trainings on execution of service documentation and related process optimization
Your key responsibilities:
Aiming at better client experience and a global harmonization of our contractual landscape, smoother processes, and global & strategic documentation approach, you are
handling daily requests from different teams in the RTM organization on legal documentation and accompanying processes
providing legal support to RTM by coordinating and managing multi-jurisdictional projects within the above-mentioned areas
drafting and updating contract templates as well as maintaining version management processes
working collaboratively with Deutsche Bank Legal counsels and other internal stakeholders such as Anti Financial Crime (AFC), Compliance and Credit Risk Management
driving the development of new electronic/digital/AI solutions with respect to contract management with various stakeholders
The skills and experience you should bring:
1st State Examination in Law, Bachelor of Law, Master of Law, or similar level of legal education
interest to work in an international working environment in the financial sector
ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in local legal, and other teams of the RTM organization
ability to work independently and assume responsibility of your projects
technical affinity and good knowledge of the common MS Office programs; especially Word and Excel
fluent in German and English
