Payments
Payments is a core product for Cash Management and one of the growth areas in Deutsche Bank’s strategy. In order to support the growth ambitions and to remain a leading global player in the competitive payments market, significant investment in the payment infrastructure of Deutsche Bank is applied.
The team is delivering set of key applications in Payment integration platform which are single entry point for all payments not only in Corporate Bank but across the entire Enterprise. Monthly processing volume of the applications is over €100 Billion of payment transactions across 42 countries from Europe, APAC, and Americas.
As a Lead Engineer (f/m/x) you will be responsible for providing the DevOps function delivering the required target state and availability for the infrastructure, working closely with Development Team, L2/3 Support Team, and peer DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer teams.

Your key responsibilities
- Work as part of Agile team to define target state infrastructure architecture of applications, including hardware, networks, operating systems and other requirements
- Automate! Develop, improve, and maintain internal operations tools, such as deployment, monitoring, statistics, platform management tools.
- CI/CD pipeline setup and management and optimization: automating application build and deployment procedures, executing deployment on testing and production environments
- Define system capacity requirements and designing a right solution on both hardware and application levels
- Routine tasks assume:
- Performing release management function including dependency analysis, planning and tracking pre-release activities, reporting status, risks and issues
- Cover the implementation team on releases (rotation-based)
- Fair share of L3 application support functionality where applicable and during working hours (rotation-based)
Your skills and experiences
- Analytical skills and analytical thinking, very good verbal and writing English
- Mandatory baseline: Unix internals basic knowledge, fluent unix shell scripting, python coding, basic tcpip, basic SQL, reading Java code
- Working experience with Jenkins / Teamcity / similar, Ansible / similar
- Proficiency in Git
- Will be a plus: Oracle db, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, GCP/AWS and related stack
