We are looking for an experienced PHY Systems Engineer with deep understanding of wireless technology for our L1/PHY control system engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for the integration of new features to our 4G/5G modem architecture. Under consideration of the cellular communication standards, timing requirements and hardware constraints you will specify the L1 and PHY control concepts. You will define requirements for the FW implementation, interfaces, use-cases and end-to-end message flows. You will support FW teams during implementation and the verification teams with testing and log analysis.

Description

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

• Analyse 3GPP requirements for new features and map them to the modem architecture.
• Break down new features into blocks depending on the timing and hardware requirements and define interfaces between them.
• Define use cases and create end-to-end message flows.
• Analyse timing requirements.
• Work closely together with cross functional teams (SE, RF, HW, FW) to make sure the concept fits into the system and firmware architecture.
• Define test cases to support the verification process with log analysis and debugging.
