Trade Finance and Lending

Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is core and one of leading business departments in Corporate Bank working with clients around the globe. Trade Finance is a set of techniques aimed at mitigating and transferring trade risks to the financial sector, and / or using bank funding to enable domestic and international trade flows. Trade finance focuses on supporting the physical flow of goods across borders while primarily using the goods, receivables and cash generated from the trade as the principal security.

The group is working on technology refresh of their IT platform to enable new services and products for customers as well as to achieve next level of business processes automation and reduce transaction costs.

Would you like to join successful in-house technology team designing, building, and rolling out into production its strategic platform for TF&L business and maintaining  existing TF&L platform? The architecture covers wide range of capabilities to support global TF&L business including but not limited to loan lifecycle management, collateral management, related integrations with Cash, Treasury, Risk, and Finance landscape.

As a Java Developer (f/m/x) you will contribute to business logic design and implementation and all other stages of agile delivery pipeline: specification, automated testing, and level 3 production support.

Your key responsibilities

  • We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Java Engineer to join our team.

  • Your primary responsibility will be the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end software solutions using the Java Enterprise technology stack.

  • You take responsibility for projects from conception to deployment, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless integration.

  • Within our Agile Development team, your Associate Engineer role is to collaborate closely with other team members to iteratively develop and maintain software solutions for Corporate Bank Lending.

Your skills and experiences

  • University degree in Computer Science or related

  • Ability to write well-designed, efficient, and testable code that complies with specification

  • Proven 3 to 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Java Engineer using Java Frameworks (e.g. Spring) or similar

  • Familiarity with Databases (e.g. Oracle)

  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and Tools (e.g. Docker, Jenkins)

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g. GCP)

  • Strong analytical, teamwork and communication skills

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology

  • English (must have) and German (beneficial) language skills
