Position overview
The IT Projects and Governance Intern at Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) is responsible for working as a part of the IT Projects and Governance team to assist with project and governance activities that support all Porsche North America entities. Primary responsibilities include tracking audit tasks and deliverables, supporting directive rollouts and compliance, coordinating project deliverables and follow-up with internal and external resources, assisting with BCM and disaster recovery documentation, assisting with process improvement initiatives within the department and managing IT vendors from a budget and procurement perspective. The IT Projects and Governance Intern will need to develop strong working relationships with IT and business colleagues.
Roles & responsibilities
- Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits, exams, reviews, etc.
- Assist with the creation, implementation and annual review of directives, policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Support the business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives by assisting with plan documentation and testing.
- Work with IT Project Managers, business departments and vendors to ensure completion of project deliverables and documentation.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives within the department.
- Work closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and Accounting to ensure that PRs, POs and any other required documents necessary to do business are completed and approved per company directives.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, IT and outside vendors in performance of primary responsibilities.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Education: Pursing a 4-year Degree in Information Technology, Information Sciences or Business Administration
- Experience: Related experience preferred

- Expert experience with standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
The hourly range for this role is $18-$20.
