IT Asset Management Specialist

Work with the Client Services and Asset Specialists to create and maintain a unified Asset process for all IT assets inside the plant. He / She will play a lead role in creating workflows, processes, and work level Instructions based on ISO 9001 Standards. He/She will be responsible for maintaining an accurate account of assets and being able to provide reporting and management overviews into these records and counts.

This position owns the operative responsibility of the donation asset process. This individual will follow up the purchasing and invoicing processes elated asset acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Track, monitor, and report the status of assets and trends
• Receive and retire assets
• Assets Tagging
• Key User of the IT Hardware Management Tool
• Owner of the IT Hardware Asset Management Process
• Create and modify processes related to asset management
• Prepare and verify periodical reporting
• Manage asset lifecycle management (including forecasting, rollout planning, and migration)
• IT Warehouse responsible
• Owner of the IT Hardware Catalog process
• Owner of the donation asset process
• Follow up the purchasing and invoicing processes related asset acquisition

Education:

• Associates degree in business/computer related field
• Bachelors degree in related field, preferred

Experience:

• 4 - 6 years of professional work experience in related field.
• Basic Server Architecture Experience; advanced Server Architecture experience, preferred

Certifications:

• Professional certification (A+, Net+) required

• Ability to take a “client” focus when engaging with internal departments / customers.

• ITIL or COBIT Certification

Percentage of required travel: up to 10%

Physical requirements:

• This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.

Work Schedule:

• This position requires onsite availability in Chattanooga, TN

The salary range for this role is $40,000-$50,000. However, it is important to note that at MHP, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. MHP reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
