YOUR ROLE
  • Formulate & update global safety standards for lab operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices & reg. req's
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to incorporate diverse perspectives and ensure broad applicability
  • Ensure that A Innovation safety practices align with and even exceed, where agreed, regulatory requirements
  • Analyzes and reports on devel-t of chemical legislation worldwide, implements appropriate sustainability and advocacy measures
  • Stay abreast of global safety regulations & standards affecting the industry
  • Provide guidance & support to SBUs in the development of their safety programs
  • Act as a central point of contact for A Innovation safety-related matters, facilitating communication & collaboration with SBUs & functions
  • Review and ensure there is a clear standardized protocol for incident reporting & investigation across all sites
  • Provide ongoing education to keep teams informed about emerging safety trends & technologies
  • Develop & deliver comprehensive safety training programs for lab personnel
  • Conduct regular audits & assessments to identify areas of improvement & compliance gaps
  • Work closely with SBUs to ensure the effective implementation of global safety standards
  • Establish a reporting Power BI safety metrics dashboard and bring transparency to all labs and teams
  • Develop & maintain emergency response plans for labs, ensuring quick & effective responses to unforeseen situations
  • Conduct regular drills to test the readiness of these response plans as well as emergency response teams
  • Deliver annual objectives to support Safety Initiatives as agreed with ILT annually
     
YOUR SKILLS
  • Master’s degree in relevant fields such as: chemistry, chemical engineering, occupational health
  • 10 years of work experience within lab safety, innovation excellence and driving change
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and empower individuals or teams to achieve common goals
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated resilience in handling high-pressure situations
  • A strong multi-tasker-capable of planning, organizing details while communicating effectively on all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically navigate and influence within a multi-matrix organizational structure, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive initiatives forward
  • Business Proficiency in English, German is a plus
