Flight Optimizer

The Flight Optimizer is responsible for:

• Evaluates individual booking queues under consideration of operational, economic and quality specifications
• Where required calculates and adjusts the gross volume for bookings
• Reacts appropriately to capacity changes (e.g. equipment and schedule changes)
• Blocks space and weight for certain bookings
• Optimizes individual flights under observance of regulations
• Completes and transfers flights to the load planning department under consideration of shipment ranking in case of planned or unplanned overbooking
• Improves the loadfactor by accepting freight onto earlier flights
• Where required contacts the Revenue Manager to adjust the overbooking parameters
• Identifies and communicates process barriers within RM processes to his regional process manager
