BESCHREIBUNG

We are taking action optimise our cost to serve (CtS) across Europe, unlocking further CX and Speed investments to fuel our business growth sustainably. In order to do that, we created a task force across Stores and Ops to invent new ways to lower CtS, that has become the engine to deliver our profitability and growth plans over the next three years. Our Finance teams are a key part of that task force, they don’t just manage our books; they help drive the company forward by partnering closely with global cross-functional teams, driving controllership, innovation, productivity, and cost-effective decisions across the network in a fast paced environment.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to help lead the CtS efforts across Europe. This role focuses heavily on process improvement and identifying mechanisms that will share best practice to create value. Additionally, the role will be highly matrixed with other finance teams, and will lead key metrics and deliverables for reporting and planning with pan-EU scope (and global influence).
You’ll employ data analysis to ensure your partners and leaders have the most up to date, reliable information, working collaboratively to make the best possible financial decisions. You’ll make a huge impact, not just on the bottom-line performance, but on the overall customer experience, making history while working hard and having fun along the way!

Our candidate should be passionate about using data to solve big, complex and ambiguous problems, and comfortable driving results across different teams and orgs. You should be eager to continuously learn about new areas of Finance, and able to work with a large array of stakeholders to break down large problems into actionable plans.

This role is part of the wider EU Stores Finance team that is passionate about numbers, data, and how to use them to generate insights and improve our business. We support and influence the organization by providing a holistic and financial perspective, we are the trusted business advisors. We collaborate with our partners to ensure leaders have the most up to date and reliable information, and work with them to make sure we are making the best possible decisions.

Key job responsibilities
- Own and execute our Stores finance CtS mechanisms: From owning our XBR narratives to ownership of project ideation, pilot implementation, stakeholder management and other project contributions.
- Co-own the EU CtS reporting solution with our operations and tech partners.
- Build trusted partnership with CtS teams across all regions, to ensure best practice sharing and removal of duplication.
- Identifies risks, prioritise our SME resource to make the most impact, proposes changes, and implements improvements to remediate gaps in our overall CtS reduction strategy.
- Understands the details of the cost structure to make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be difficult to procure.

About the team
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: London,
Luxembourg, Milan, Munich, Madrid or Paris

GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN

- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
