Field Quality Supervisor II

Summary – This position is responsible for identifying, controlling, and eliminating quality issues. Essential duties and responsibilities include supporting all VHNA field sites with identifying, monitoring, controlling the business management systems, reporting non-conformities, and developing corrective actions for NCR.
Responsibilities –
- Maintains BMS Management System and documentation for field service quality at VHNA
- Assist with CAR investigations, perform root cause analysis, issue requests for corrective actions (internal & external) and track/follow-up on open items
- Supports the Supervisor, Field Service Quality on quality management systems, procedures, and process management topics
- Manages and reviews HySap notifications to ensure adherence to SOP’s and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Manages notifications regarding the identification, procurement, and installation of project specific parts.
- Facilitates cross departmental coordination efforts to improve efficiency of installation and commissioning practices
- Reviews upcoming contracts to assist with scope of work summaries for ITP and check sheet creation.
- Creation and submittal of quality data books
- Assist in the creation and revision of SOP’s, Practices, and quality related training topics.
- Develops Safe Job Procedures for commissioning activities and other field service activities.
- Supports customer communication through coordination meetings & synchronization of ITP’s witness/hold points
- Manages coordination efforts to ensure all customer needs, expectations, and contractual requirements are adhered to
- Participates and conducts site audits
- Supports the Supplier Quality Team by performing facility inspections and audits
- Supports and drives cost of quality optimization projects.
- Tracks and presents KPI data to the field service and corporate management teams
- Provides training on field service and quality related processes to site management teams
- Supports site quality needs by replacing onsite QA representative as needed
- Supports site related quality tasks remotely
Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Welding, Materials, Quality, Industrial, or related engineering field
- Relevant work experience in Quality Management, Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Management. (> 5 yrs).
- Qualifications in electrical, dimensional and NDT testing
- Knowledge in processing technologies (as applicable). E.g., casting, forgings, machining, fabrication, assembly, painting, or relevant processing technologies
- Lead Auditor Certification (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred
- Fluent in English. French language knowledge is a plus.
- Continuous Improvement training in using LEAN/6-Sigma (DMAIC) process is a plus
- Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess the ability to meet and interface with customers and have the capacity to work to resolve issues and accomplish tasks between internal and external customers
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Physical Demands – Employees in this position are regularly required to walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. They are frequently required to reach with hands and arms. They are occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees are required to talk and hear in an industrial setting (noise levels can be high at times) and regularly required to lift 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
