Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit / EHS Specialist (w/m/d)

Johnson & Johnson Medical GmbH is recruiting for a(n) EHS specialist, located in Norderstedt (Germany).

Provides technical expertise in the areas of workplace ergonomics, general industry safety orders, Johnson and Johnson worldwide environmental health and safety standards, hazard assessment techniques, accident investigations, and emergency response planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promotes workplace and product safety by identifying and monitoring potential hazards to people or property.
• Recommends content of health and safety policies and programs.
• Provides content to emergency response plans and participates on emergency response team.
• Implements health and safety policies and programs developed for a site to assure that workplace conditions comply with all local government and company requirements.
• Facilitates compliance audits by assisting management in conducting risk assessments, and by participating on health and safety teams.
• Reviews operating and maintenance procedures for compliance with health and safety programs and policies.
• Participates in health and safety reviews, routine safety inspections and incident investigations where applicable with manufacturing and maintenance personnel including developing and implementing.
• Participates as the health and safety representative in external audits and inspections by local government agencies.

Qualifications:

• Certified safety-at-work expert for Germany
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in safety, engineering or in scientific disciplines

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Identifying, evaluating and controlling EHS risks in the workplace
• Supports the maintenance of mgmt. systems such as ISO 14001
• Technical experience in diverse EHS areas including but not limited to air, water, hazardous waste, machine safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene and chemical handling is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills are required and individual must have technical/working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
• Good knowledge in Office applications
• Preferred:
• Preferred 2 to 4 years of EHS experience.
