Equipment Maintenance Specialist, Logistics
Role Purpose:
- Responsible for planning, preparation and execution of Maintenance Work Orders. The Maintenance Work Orders include the repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of the ASRS System, so as to achieve a safe and smooth logistics operations
- Ensure the ASRS system is operational (at least 99.0% uptime)
- Ensure the automatic guided vehicles (AGV) and Logistics Operations equipment are maintained as per schedule, in good working condition and available for use
Major Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management
- Execute Preventive Maintenance/ Inspection, Planned/Unplanned Repair as per scheduled/planned and approved by Section Manager
- Ensure all documentation is done for each Work Order carried out
- Provide system support for logistics operations
- Liaise with the Control Centre and Operational Team on maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of maintenance works with no disruption to logistics operations
- Analyze and correct minor errors encountered together with Operational Team Leader and major errors encountered with assistance from Witron Helpdesk
- Diagnose and correct technical errors encountered within the shortest possible time
- Analyze and correct operative errors together with Operational Team Leader
- Coordinate with OEM and servicing/repair vendors and internal departments like IT and Facilities Management on maintenance, calibration, modification, servicing and repair of equipment, appliances and facilities
- Participate in daily change shift meeting for handover and takeover of ASRS system support
- Escalate to Operational Team Leader, Manager and the Control Centre for any system downtime
- Review corrective and prevention actions for system abnormalities
Spare Part Management
- Ensure spare parts are replenished to maximum quantity, booked in upon receipt, picked accordingly and correctly for repair works
- Perform monthly spare part inventory check
Health & Safety Management
- Carry out good 5S practices in Work Area and on Tools & Equipment
- Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE), tools and equipment, and Fire Shutter Doors are inspected accordingly
- Ensure consumables Items are replenished accordingly
Training
- Be able to perform and train other team members on how to perform ASRS Basic Error Recovery
- Be able to work on and train other team members on electrical and mechanical systems, components and parts
Requirements:
- Diploma/Higher Nitec in Electronics, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
- Familiar with schematic drawings, wiring diagrams and electrical symbols and requirements
- Familiar with electrical/mechanical drive technology (i.e. motors and gears) and control technology (i.e. Controls/inverter)
