Our unit in Ludwigshafen, Germany, develops enzymes and enzyme solutions for the detergents and cleaning product industry.
- As lab team leader, you manage a development laboratory and are responsible for leading the laboratory technicians. You ensure the health and safety of your team by enforcing compliance with all applicable regulations.
- You regularly lead complex enzyme development and enzyme formulation projects.
- A major focus of your work lies in the defense of patents and the initiation of new projects for the patent protection of your own innovations.
- In addition to the economic feasibility, you work out technical as well as legal requirements for new product developments and launches.
- You are responsible for the development and adaptation of enzyme test methods. You will also assure application for mandated evaluations of enzyme research and commercial product samples.
- You know the market: observing and evaluating market trends as well as competitor activities, you generate current market intelligence to develop new product innovations in alignment with EM's enzyme strategy.
- You lead a team working on global projects at the junction of marketing and research in close cooperation with our strategic customers.
- completed master's degree, ideally doctorate in chemistry, biology or biotechnology, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the chemical, biotech or life science industry
- in-depth knowledge of patents and project management
- first leadership experience
- solution-oriented work style as well as highly motivated to contribute to the team
- strong communication with external and internal partners as well as the ability to effectively present ideas and strategies
- fluent in English with experience communicating in professional settings, good German skills are a plus
