Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Amazon Kuiper is looking for an experienced, self-starter Sales professional to drive adoption of Kuiper services with enterprise customers in the DACH region across multiple verticals (e.g. Energy, Retail, Manufacturing, Media).
You are responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and managing complex deals with multiple key accounts.
Responsible for managing the sales lifecycle of complex cross-functional customers and delivering outcomes with cross-organizational impact, you execute and define Sales strategies that complement product strategy with limited oversight from others.
You serve as a partner or thought leader for other teams on opportunities. You contribute to strategic documents including, but not limited to, regional and vertical GTM and account plans. You own reporting on forecasting and planning the business impact of each opportunity, with a focus on actuals vs. plan targets.
You have the ability to deeply impact measurable business metrics, are able to close deals and significantly grow large and complex opportunities.
This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.
Key job responsibilities
• Contribute to the build out of Amazon Kuiper service revenue with specific focus on key European enterprise customers, with a focus on the DACH region.
• Be customer obsessed. Think on behalf of the customer and work to meet the customer’s stated and unstated needs and aspirations.
• Execute strategic and tactical sales initiatives while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Amazon Kuiper product and engineering teams, legal, finance) and Sales/BD team colleagues.
• Be the internal coordinator supporting complex contract negotiations and complex business requirements and activities which deliver results.
• Think strategically and analytically about business priorities, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to deliver target-based results working cross-organizationally.
• Get and deliver customer feedback.
• Sales experience in the satellite industry selling to Enterprise customers
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful Sales strategies
• Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and partners
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication and public presentation skills
• Strategic thinking capabilities combined with operational acumen
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel extensively within the EMEA region
• Familiarity with SFDC
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and digital transformation trends
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
• Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
