We as Global Digital Services enable BASF's digitalization. We provide IT that works and offer know-how and access to latest technologies in the areas of cloud computing, blockchain or big data.
As part of the Plant Design, Documentation & Maintenance product family, our product team is responsible for lifecycle support of the whole engineering tool landscape of BASF (e.g., CAE, CAD tools). In this position you will manage the engineering tool landscape of BASF. Your responsibilities will be:
- Tool lifecycle support
- Administration of Client-/Server-/Database Systems, Installation, configuration and operation of complex IT Tool landscapes
- Evaluation of new release versions
- Sizing of infrastructure requirements and requesting Server- / Storage-infrastructure accordingly
- Setup, update, and configuration of tools (Server and Client), as well as Troubleshooting on Server and Client infrastructure
- Roles and Rights administration
- Quality control and documentation
- IT education with System integration focus, bachelor´s degree in business IT, computer science or equivalent education or working experience
- good knowledge of Windows Client- and Server Operating System and respective Client-/Server application landscape
- knowledge of Active Directory structures, Group Policy, Roles, and Rights management
- Database administration skills (MS SQL, Oracle)
- scripting and modification of scripts (with VBScript, PowerShell)
- good German and English language skills
