CVC & Strategic Investment Senior Analyst (f/m/x)
Position Overview
Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The CVC & Strategic Investment Team plays a key role in supporting the execution of the division's inorganic strategy through strategic equity investments in vital market infrastructure and emerging Fintech companies. The team is responsible for overseeing the division's investment governance, which includes both the pursuit of new investment opportunities and the management of the existing portfolio.
Your key responsibilities
Support front-to-back investment / partnership processes with the business
Conduct due diligence on potential investments in collaboration with deal leads and support in post-investment / portfolio management tasks
Develop financial and valuation models
Interact with product areas to understand their strategic priorities, roadmaps, and perspectives on industry developments
Conduct market research on emerging industry trends, deal flow, and specific startups and contribute to a dynamic heatmap of the FinTech sector and forecast competitive movements
Prepare presentations / decision memos for senior management and investment committees as well as ad-hoc analyses
Make startup introductions for commercialization opportunities to product areas
Your skills and experiences
Several years of relevant work experience (e.g., corporate development, venture capital, corporate venture capital, management consulting)
Outstanding problem solving, analytical and project management skills, strong PowerPoint, Excel skills
Solid understanding of finance and accounting and strong financial modelling and valuation skills
Ability to see the “Big Picture”; understand, at a macro level, the key drivers and risks of a business and/or industry
Comfortable working with all levels of the organization including senior executives
Understanding of the technology / FinTech marketplace, vendor and venture capital community is a plus
Fluent in multiple languages is a plus
