Position Overview

Overview

You will join the Credit Risk Management – Securitization/ ABS team located in Berlin. The team is tasked with managing the credit risk associated with a diverse and large-sized portfolio of Securitization facilities and Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) in Europe. You will be required to handle the workflow for a dedicated portfolio of counterparties including approval of new transactions, restructuring of existing transactions, annual credit and rating reviews and ongoing monitoring pertaining to assigned portfolio (e.g. Watchlist, Impairment, etc., as required), all following the credit standards and approved credit processes of Deutsche Bank.

What You’ll Do

  • Risk-manage your assigned portfolio of Securitization/ABS transactions across various asset classes (e.g. RMBS, CDO, Consumer, to name a few), including new deal approval, restructurings, credit and rating reviews and other ongoing monitoring.

  • Work with and provide constructive challenge to the First Line of Defence (1LoD), to ensure transactions are appropriately structured with adequate risk mitigation to address relevant adverse scenarios.

  • Support ancillary processes to deal monitoring and credit approvals, such as handling internal/external audit requests, assisting in the calculation of risk weighted assets, portfolio stress testing, watchlist and monthly performance monitoring, as required.

  • Stay informed about market trends and conditions that may impact the performance of securitized assets, helping to anticipate and mitigate potential risks.

Skills You’ll Need

  • Credit risk management experience; preferably in securitization structures, rating agency methodologies and/or corporate credit analysis.

  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to explain potentially complex and nuanced transaction structures to the relevant stakeholders.

  • Ability to evaluate cash flow models used to structure transactions.

  • University degree (University, Fachhochschule or Berufsakadamie) preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics or suitable equivalent.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is essential. German language skills are preferred.
