We are building a new shopping experience in the Amazon Shopping app that provides customers a place to discover even more affordable Fashion, Home, Lifestyle, Electronics, and other products at ultra-low prices. This exciting, product discovery-driven CX is full of products across categories at low prices, with fulfillment in one to two weeks. The store's intuitive browse-based UX and thumb-stopping discounts encourage exploration, basket building, and repeat purchases. It is still early days and the perfect time to join a fast-moving team at the ground level.
We are looking for a visual designer to design content for this new experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced, self-directed Visual Designer, who is detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity and experienced in design. In this role, you will leverage experimentation and performance data to inform your approach, creating best practices and playbooks to drive quick adoption and progress. The Visual Designer will create best-in-class layouts and visuals that support organizational objectives while partnering with marketing teams to ensure that designs meet our customer and business needs. This is a fast-paced role, which provides a great opportunity to make an outsized impact by collaborating closely with talented marketing, business, and tech leaders to unlock cross-category discovery.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Create best-in-class visual design assets.
2. Understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies), and steer the direction of future creative designs.
3. Understand usability principles that help drive successful design.
4. Work cross-team, lead the design process, and synthesize feedback and input from stakeholders.
The position can be based in any of the following EU locations: London, Luxembourg, Munich, Berlin, Milan, Madrid, Paris.
- Relevant level of design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as visual communications or graphic design.
- An online portfolio that demonstrates excellence in craft as the level desired for the application.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective cross-team collaborator with the ability to work across multiple creative projects.
- Understanding of the web production process; familiarity with post-production retouching.
- Experience creating a design guide or design template.
- Experience in Digital Marketing and branded content (editorial or sponsorships).
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated experience of having high adaptability
- Ability to drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks.
