Construction Manager (f/m/d)

For this bid we are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the implementation of telecommunication networks and automatic fare collection systems for a high-speed rail project. The role involves design verification, tender document preparation, testing and commissioning, and system integration. 

Important: The location of the job is in an APAC country; more details will be shared later in the process.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all construction activities for the high-speed rail project, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with PMC (Project Management Consultancy) teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and implement construction schedules, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
• Monitor progress, costs, and quality throughout the project lifecycle, taking corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and environmental considerations and foster a strong safety culture and oversee HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess construction progress and adherence to design specifications and prepare and present progress reports, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to optimize project execution.
• Oversee the construction and integration of railway tunnels as part of the project scope and manage and ensure the seamless integration of civil works with rail systems, including signaling, track, power supply, and communication systems.
